Thank You

Our community of artists, students, educators, partners, and donors work together to support the Contemporary’s exhibitions and programs, ensuring contemporary art and artists are accessible to everyone.

In 2021, the Contemporary’s Board of Directors adopted Community-Centric Fundraising’s model to further strengthen our commitment to equity, social justice, and our community.

Become a Member

The Contemporary’s Membership Program inspires an interest in contemporary art by bringing together art lovers, cultural enthusiasts, artists, collectors, and curious minds. The Contemporary counts on our members to nurture enthusiasm for high caliber visual arts and programming and to sustain our innovative programs.

The Contemporary’s Members ensure our nonprofit programming continues to thrive by supporting all of our exhibitions and educational outreach, while also gaining access to spectacular benefits such as reciprocal benefits, members-only events, and private access to the galleries.

With the launch of our new name comes a change to the membership program.

The Friends and Family membership level is available to everyone on a donate-what-you-can basis (even if you can’t make a gift of any size at this time).

At the Contemporaries level and above, we are excited to bring you reciprocal memberships with arts and culture organizations across the country through partnerships with Mod/Co and ROAM.

As a Patrons member, you’ll receive invites to artist receptions.

As a 1986 Circle member, a portion of your contribution is dedicated to the Contemporary’s investment account in support of the organization’s long-term sustainability.

Corporate Sponsorship

The Contemporary welcomes strategic partnerships to promote your brand-aligned business or products and provide creativity-focused employee engagement programs. We seek like-minded business partners who provide benefits and perks to the Contemporary’s audiences, and we can design an à la carte menu to benefit your company through marketing and engagement opportunities for employees and clients. Please contact the Contemporary’s Development Manager Elaine Leahy at elaine@contemporarysa.org or (210) 227-6960.

Always Contemporary.

Your gift to the Contemporary’s endowment will sustain and grow our programs for the future, ensuring we are always contemporary. For information on how to make your major gift or legacy bequest to benefit San Antonio’s arts community, please contact Elaine Leahy at elaine@contemporarysa.org or (210) 227-6960.
