Womb Wars was a large industrial installation that filled the main gallery, created by TODT, a collaborative group of four artists. TODT’S pretext was that, “our bodies are not our own. More and more, we are losing control of our own personal biology, and the state, even before birth, has the ability to infiltrate all realms of privacy.” At the same time, Blue Star hosted an exhibition by San Antonio artist Mark Hogensen. Mark Hogensen: Drawings addressed architectural and industrial aesthetics and their relationship to music to explore how change and individual interpretations make up contemporary society.
