The Ecuadorian Poetry Series exhibited works by artist Neil Maurer. In the artist’s ongoing exploration to extend the meanings and significance of visual imagery, Maurer presented a series of compelling and evocative, as well as hauntingly allegorical photographs, in which poetry and reality meet to contract, highlight, or blend together. During his travels to Ecuador, Maurer collaborated with Ecuadorian poets whose writings provided the text for the images.
