Texas Dialogues: Parallels Dallas/San Antonio was curated by Diana Block and Franco Mondini-Ruiz and exhibited artworks from Dallas artist Scott Barber, Trenton Hancock, Ted Kincaid, Jody Lee, Erick Swenson, and San Antonio artists Agosto Cuellar, Beto Gonzales, The Happening Group (Melany Stacy, Michael Trigilio, and Arend Zwartjes), Ana de Portela, Augusto Di Stefano, and Lloyd Walsh. The two curators’ ideas were pooled together in a dialogue that opened up distinct parallels in the contemporary art of two Texas cities. Parallels, by their strict geometric nature, can never converge, but with a bit of artistic license, Blue Star’s Texas Dialogues: Parallels Dallas/San Antonio was the otherwise impossible exception.
