Color + Spirit was curated by Frances Colpitt and exhibited artworks from Madeline O’Connor and her daughter Nancy O’Connor. The two artists explored the meanings of life and death in this show. Where Nancy used representational imagery to conjure up the spirits of dead children, Madeline used the abstract language of geometry to investigate the fragile existence of nature. The work of both artists provided viewers with profound ideas about the transformative power of art.
