Pocket Altar Workshop with Mónica Martínez-Díaz

Join the Contemporary for a pocket-altar workshop with exhibiting artist Mónica Martínez-Díaz. Mónica’s exhibition explores themes of memory, longing and family using personal artifacts and mementos. To compliment her show, the Contemporary invites you to make a pocket-altar: a tiny altar that can be carried in one’s pocket or purse to memorialize a person, a place or even an idea. Participants must bring photos or mementos to use in their pocket altars; all other materials will be provided.
