5–7pm
Fae Wilds Is a MOSAIC Student Program exhibition showcasing the work of Student Artist Terri Smith. This exhibition is the culmination of two MOSAIC workshops, with artists Faith Fisher and Audrya Flores.
The projects in this exhibition reflects Terri’s interest in the natural world and fantasy. The mythical world of the “Fae Wilds” serve as inspiration for the pieces which show glimpses of this fantasy land and serve as windows into its history and Terri’s own imagination.
The Contemporary’s MOSAIC Student Artist Program is an after-school studio intensive art program for high school youth in San Antonio, Texas. Alongside intensive studio art instruction and participation in Contemporary’s exhibition and public programs, students learn fundamentals of visual art techniques and how to use professional materials, participate in high caliber exhibition opportunities, expand their networks with arts patrons, experience arts administration first-hand, and collaborate on public art projects.
