In partnership with the San Antonio River Foundation, the Contemporary will host a workshop at the Cochineala Nature and Art Series: Bioluminescence event this year! Join us on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 7:00-10:00pm at Confluence Park.
Join the San Antonio River Foundation and additional partners and friends like Urban-15 for an enchanting evening of nature and art. Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing world of bioluminescent organisms and experience the magic they bring to our planet.
Discover the wonders of bioluminescence through an illuminated firefly performance, interactive art activities, and educational presentations. Marvel at the glowing beauty of nature as you explore the diverse adaptations of bioluminescent organisms.
Engage with artists and experts who will share their knowledge and passion for the natural world. Learn about the ecological significance of bioluminescence and its role in various ecosystems and learn how YOU can become a community scientist using iNaturalist and the City Nature Challenge.
