Blue Star Six was curated by Dave Hickey and exhibited artworks from San Antonio artist Henry Stein. Dave Hickey stated, “if Henry Stein’s work does nothing else, it elegantly redeems the activity of collage and assemblage that in recent years has devolved into a kind of hors d’oeuvre imagemaking via low-end consumerism… Henry Stein respects his materials; he remembers their histories – the tasks they have accomplished and were designed to accomplish – and he re-evokes for us the memories and mythologies human beings have associated with those tasks.”
