Blue Star Three celebrates the second anniversary of the Contemporary at Blue Star and Contemporary Art for San Antonio. Jim Edwards curated a show with fourteen artists who he believed to have produced some of the most provocative work in San Antonio in 1988, including Judy Bankhead, James Cobb, Adan Hernandez, Craig Kiplin, Cesar Martinez, Suzanne Paquette, Charlene Rathburn, Tobin Richter, Reginald Rowe, Curtis Samson, Gary Schafter, Henry Stein, Richard Thompson, and Bob Tiemann. Edwards spoke on the show, “Blue Star Art is most interested in the art world’s most current situation. Over 80% of the works in Blue Star 3 have been produced within the last six months and most have never been exhibited previously.”
