Blue Star One, curated by Steve Bradley, heralds the foundation of Contemporary Art for San Antonio. Bradley stated several intentions for this exhibition, “to give San Antonio the chance to see just what kind of art is produced in this community,” and “to document many of the more unique products of San Antonio artists and to present these works to the art world at large for critical evaluation.” The artists selected for this show were Michael Bigger, Jody Cariolano, Danville Chadbourne, James Cobb, Princess Cook, Stephen Daly, Heather Edwards, Larry Graeber, Joyce Jablonski, William Jackson Maxwell, Susan Maye, Diane Mazur, Gordon McVay, Holly Moe, Steve Reynolds, Antonette Rosato, Reginald Rowe, Kent Rush, Daron Sachs, Gary Schafter, Gilberto Antonio Tarin, Richard Thompson, Bob Tiemann, Jan Tips, John Tweddle, Kathy Vargas, and Donna Zarbin-Byrne.
