A San Antonio Profile exhibited artworks from artists Yvonne Guerra, Jayne Lawrence, Trish Lewandowsky, Felix Padrón, Debra Sugarman, and Peter Zubiate. Selected from the Contemporary’s artists’ archives, the exhibition surveyed the distinct and diverse approaches to contemporary artmaking in San Antonio. The focus was on those specific processes that inform and reference each artist’s view on what is relevant in contemporary art. The selected art practices ranged from traditional painterly concerns, both abstraction and figuration, to drawing, and from concept-based installation to photography and sculpture.
