A Girl in the Middle is a solo exhibition, featuring artist Soomin Jung, organized by Contemporary Art Month. Soomin Jung Remmler is known for meticulous drawing skills and her use of bright colors. Soomin is originally from Seoul, South Korea, and relocated in San Antonio, TX where she received her MFA degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2008. Currently, she teaches at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, and is also a nationally and internationally exhibiting artist. Her work has shown in Texas, Illinois, California, Ohio, Louisiana, New York, Missouri, Minnesota and Utah in the United States, Toronto and Ontario in Canada, Florence in Italy, Switzerland and Seoul, South Korea. Her work is acquired by a number of private and public art collectors including Stanford Healthcare Systems, Independent Financial, Aspen Art Collection, City of San Antonio and the University of Texas at San Antonio Art Collection. She has won the Best of Show in the CPSA Annual International Exhibition in 2018 and more. Her exhibition history includes solo and group selected exhibitions such as The Studio at McNay Museum of Art, CPSA International Exhibition, New Texas Talent, Hunting Art Prize, Texas Draws IV, Texas Biennial, Texas National, International Drawing Annual, Bradly International.
