MOSAIC Session: Printmaking & Entrepreneurship with Andrea Izaguirre

Interested in Printmaking and Entrepreneurship? This Spring the MOSAIC Student Artist Program will welcome visiting artist Andrea Izaguirre in a relief carving printmaking workshop. This workshop will cover the basics of printmaking andteach students how to promote their work through art markets, and social media in addition to gallery exhibitions. This workshop will culminate in an exhibition of student’s work at the Cotemporary at Blue Star.

About Andrea Izaguirre

Andrea Izaguirre (b. Caracas, Venezuela) is a San Antonio based artist currently involved with the community through doing workshops with local museums. In 2023 she obtained her BFA from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a concentration in Printmaking. Her body of work involves different methods of printmaking, leatherworking, sewing and mixed media sculptures. Her artwork reflects a conversation between nature and the self, exploring topics of identity and culture through the intrinsic geometry and structure of plants and insects, and their symbolism.
