Terra Nostra: “Solamente Salma” was a collaboration between artist George Yepes and filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. The series of 16 paintings were portraits of actress Salma Hayek, who was in Robert Rodriguez’s Desperado (1995). The artist / filmmaker duo decided to paint their favorite muse, actress Salma Hayek, literally side by side, on several gigantic canvases (all at the same time). When asked about the scene, Yepes stated, “Music’s going; paint is flying.”
