Blue Star 20 was curated by Anthony Jones and exhibited more than 100 works by 48 artists in a retrospective show. The Contemporary looked backward for this show, presenting artists who had been included in previous summer surveys of area artists. The artworks included conceptual installations, sculpture, abstract and representational painting, photography, digital prints and drawings. The exhibit was a reunion show, a thoughtful look at artists who have played a vital role in the Contemporary’s evolution.
