Loudly Minimal, quietly baroque: Highlights of 1/4 Hora Project Space, Elgin, Texas was curated by Margo Sawyer and included artists Jean Blackburn, Sarah Canright, Martha Gannon, Barry Le Doux, Margo Sawyer, Luke Savisky, Aaron Valdez, Rob Ziebell, and Mel Ziegler. ¼ Hora Project Space in Elgin, Texas is an alternative art space opened in 1999 by artist Margo Sawyer in the refurbished landmark Elgin Opera House. The gallery’s name was derived from the 100-year-old graffiti Sawyer found on the Opera House’s walls during renovations.
