Miami Connection: Pop Stars, Superheroes, Fast Cars was curated by Nate Cassie and included the work of William Cordova, John Espinosa, Beatriz Monteavaro, and Gavin Perry. Miami is the perfect setting for all the clichés of a sunny lifestyle, fertile territory for the delicious erotics of posturing and studied indolence. And yet it is also a garden of cultural and ethnic confusion and hybridization, where beliefs and desires bump and grind as much as they mesh and marry. The four artists in this came with tales from that still-undefined darkside.
