In Plain Sight: Abstract Painting in Los Angeles was curated by Frances Colpitt and showed artworks from Los Angeles artists Edith Baumann-Hudson, Jeff Colson, Fandra Chang, Roy Dowell, James Hayward, Dennis Hollingsworth, Scot Heywood, Susan Hutchinson, Darcy Huebler, Linda Stark, Penelope Krebs, Alan Wayne, John Miller, and Ed Moses. Frances Colpitt wrote of the show, “While regional in scope, In Plain Sight: Abstract Painting in Los Angeles includes the work of fourteen artists who grapple with issues of abstraction that know no regional boundaries. Their paintings adhere to a clarity of means and a forthrightness of expression.”
