As San Antonio’s longest running venue for contemporary art, Blue Star hosts over twenty exhibitions within our four onsite galleries and multiple offsite locations throughout the community. Our exhibitions program features a strong local artist presence and seeks to highlight emerging and established contemporary artists and encourage cultural dialogues about their work in San Antonio. Our long-term partnership with the San Antonio Botanical Garden sites contemporary art within the garden’s lush grounds. Complementary programs, including Open Studios, Black Box Lunches, curatorial workshops, film screenings, panel discussions, and collaborations with area nonprofit partners, further extend our reach into the community. Each year, over 300,000 visitors interact with Blue Star’s dynamic exhibitions, programming, and events.
