FAMILY SATURDAY ‘HOLD STILL’ WORKSHOPS AND CRAFT TALKS

Contemporary at Blue Star welcomes young artists for workshops and teen and adult burgeoning artists for craft talks.Participants must register to reserve their spot by emailing inessa@bluestarart.org. Space is limited. These education programs are FREE and open to the public.

Schedule of activities:

11am – 12 PM

Still Life Composition w/ Robert Langham III

For this youth workshop, kids will take a quick tour of the Hold Stillexhibition with the artist and build and photograph their own still lifes out of styrofoam, plastic tableware, tape, and other everyday materials. Participants are welcome to bring their own items from home to construct their still lifes.

12:30 – 1:30 PM

In camera collage w/ Casey James Wilson

For this youth workshop, kids will take a quick tour of the ‘Hold Still’ exhibition with the artist and learn to make a preplanned composition that creates flattened spatial relationships.

2pm – 3 PM

Craft Talks: How to revolutionize your camera work w/ RobertLangham III (Teen and adult)

3:30pm – 4:30 PM
